Introduction
Our client Tag Trees Limited, a long-standing organisation in the arboriculture industry, has been a trusted partner of ours for several years. Their commitment to excellence in Arboricultural services is reflected in their continuous efforts to improve standards, enhance employee well-being, and grow sustainably.
Objectives of the Partnership
As a consultancy, we partnered closely with the Tag Trees to address these challenges, offering tailored support across several critical areas.
In the realm of Human Resources (HR), we provided comprehensive solutions to help the client establish robust systems for employee management. This involved developing policies, advising on recruitment strategies, conducting appraisals and implementing best practices to enhance workplace culture.
Recognising the importance of mental health in the high-stress arboriculture sector, we introduced programs and resources to support employee well-being. These initiatives included training for managers, mental health awareness and access to professional counselling services.
For Health and Safety (H&S) practices, we conducted thorough reviews of existing protocols and worked with Tag Trees to implement improvements. This included providing staff training, health surveillance monitoring, and introducing a structured incident reporting system. These efforts significantly reduced workplace incidents and enhanced overall safety.
TQB also guided the Tag Trees in achieving key certifications. Attaining the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) certification was a major milestone, and we ensured compliance with all necessary standards throughout the process. To enhance quality management and environmental sustainability, we supported the client in implementing ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. This process involved mapping workflows, training staff, and conducting rigorous audits, culminating in successful certification in April 2024.
Most recently, we worked with the client to achieve their Arb Approved Contractor status. This required a comprehensive review of operations, refinement of service delivery standards, and thorough preparation for the Arboricultural Association’s assessments. This was awarded in November 2024.
